Dee’s Famous Crab Dip
Cameo Culinary Club – Dee’s Famous Crab Dip
Perfect for an outside party!!!! In case you missed the recent bout of weather that had Orange County residents making comparisons between their zip code and the surface of the sun, then let me be the first to announce that summer has officially arrived. And when you can actually see visible heat waves rising up from your living room floor (Modern Family is harder to follow when it looks like a melting watercolor painting), the last thing even the most enthusiastic chef wants is to lock themselves in a sweltering kitchen all day. But—oh, the irony!—summer is the ultimate foodie season, with an endless stream of barbeques, weddings, and parties that demand delicious munchies. But when the temperature outside is climbing toward triple digits it seems downright sadistic to serve guests a piping hot tray of stuffed mushrooms or jalapeño poppers. A refreshing appetizer is key, but what to serve? You could hand guests a Fudgsicle as they enter your home... wait, what's that you say? Your guests aren't toddlers? And you just redecorated the living room with an all-white color palette? No problem—this month we've got an appetizer that's smooth, creamy, and won't induce sweat. And the best part? You won't have to sweat all day in the kitchen whipping up this delicious crab dip.
